Business Development Manager
Howdy! I’m Roland, part of the New Business Development team here at Rio.
I’m excited to be part of the cattle and forage industry and to have the opportunity to work alongside family operations across North America. Having used Rio products on our family farm for the past eight years, I never imagined I’d one day have the chance to help other producers and learn about the unique challenges and opportunities within their operations.
I’m from northeastern North Dakota—just one mile from the Canadian border—and I’ve been involved in the cattle industry my entire life. What I love most about ranching is that no two days are ever the same. From building fence in mosquito heaven to watching a fresh set of twins take their first steps through six inches of snow, there’s always something new to appreciate.
When I’m not visiting with ranchers or working with our own cattle, you’ll usually find me enjoying the outdoors and spending time with family and friends. Whether it’s making the most of winter on the ski hill, floating down the river on a beautiful summer day, or taking advantage of any excuse to get outside, I enjoy activities that bring people together. And whether it’s on the ice, in the pasture, or in the backyard, nothing beats a good old bonfire!
