VIDEO OVERVIEW
Hey, guys. It's Dwayne here with Riomax. We're here today to talk about the turbo boost paste. It's our You need product launch? Turbo boost up? Yeah. But you don't wanna say that turbo but it's coming. Hasn't come yet. Guys, I think they might be wondering how is this different from other faced? That's a good question. And as we know, there's plenty of other tastes on the market. Not bad. Not knocking them, but they're focused on specific things. So maybe post calving or maybe a pre weaning or when you're got a sick calf in the feed lot. Now how we're different is that we're focusing on holistically that entire system, starting with the immune system and building, you might say, a strong foundation from which we can build. And that, you know, the immune system and then the immune response. With technology natural technology in here that triggers an immune response, it is revolutionary because it's like a switch almost in that natural system that we get that calf or that critter into fight fight fight mode. So you've got the immune side, and then you've got the digestive side. And it's not all good stuff like feeding the good guys. It's partly that and partly what we call competitive inhibition, and that is taking care of the bad guys. You gotta keep the good guys at fifty one percent or more and the bad guys at forty nine percent, and then you have a balance. This is working on both. Right? It's helping the good guys, and it's tying up and flushing out the bad guys. It's like taking all other pace and rolling it up into the three sixty. It is the pace that packs a punch, but let's summarize that even further and call it the tub in a tube. So we got this calf, you know, about a day day or two old. And remember, at sale time this fall, gonna weigh five hundred and six hundred pounds. It's gonna be worth eighteen hundred to two grand. And remember, you know, gaining two and a half pounds a day, about three dollars a pound. So we're looking at about seven and a half dollars a day that this calf is gaining. So to give it a shot, you know, fifteen dollars a dose, two days worth of gain or even just preventing a little bit of sickness, giving this calf everything it needs to get up and rolling. That's what it's all about. Easy as that. And he's ready to roll. So if you're looking to get this year's calf drop off and roll it on the right foot, let's get in touch and see if the turbo boost pace is something that fits into your operation.

What do ranchers say about Turboboost360 paste?
I was pulling twenty, thirty calves a day or more, and this year I'm only pulling like eight, nine, ten. The sickness level has been way down. In a feed lot, everything's time and money. They're coming from Montana, and what they do is they, instead of weeding them off their moms, just jerk them straight off their mom, put them on a truck and ship them all the way down here which is a twelve, fifteen hour trip. It's a lot of stress on them and they get here different environment, different areas, not used to it. I typically don't vaccinate the calves until a day or two later after they've had time to rest and calm down and get a little bit of that ball out of them. Sarah was telling me about it because I was asking her if she had anything to rejuvenate or re boost the the rumen in the stomach of the calf to get them to eat and she said she had this turbo paste. I tried it on some sick ones and then we had the first bunch of calves that come in and I I tried it on them and they're so fleshy and fat and doing good, way better than what they was last year and I'm a firm believer in it. That's the main thing that keeps them going, keeps them eating is gut health and if you don't have a good gut health on a calf he's just gonna get sick and die and you're out that critter and you're out the money that you had innings. In the long end, you save one of these, it pays for itself. Last year, without having the paste, I was pulling twenty, thirty calves a day or more and this year I'm only pulling like eight, nine, ten. The sickness level has been way down. It sure makes my boss happier. He's seen the difference in the calves and he's really impressed on the stuff too. All my sick ones that I run back to the shoot and give antibiotics to, I'll give them another couple clicks of this stuff too. It just helps them get back on feed and stay on feed. Yeah. That's my thoughts is the pace that pays for itself. As long as it keeps on working, I guess we'll keep on using it.
For what one of these is worth right now, I will put ten dollars a head into them all day long. We have our cow calf herd on tubs year round. So when we wean our home raised calves, we get to bring them into the feedlot, and we feel like that weaning process goes a lot smoother for us. They don't seem to go backwards quite as bad. And then we buy a lot of calves too and we started using the turbo boost paste. We've given everything a dose of that on arrival. We've had really good luck with everything. It just kinda helps get that gut going again, especially our long haul calves coming in or if something stood at a sale barn for a day. We kinda feel like we're getting a little bit of a jump start, plus anything that we may need to treat. Obviously, the antibiotics are killing the good bugs right along with the bad bugs, so we can help kinda, get that good back in them and get them on their way. We've had phenomenal luck as far as health. We have a pin of calves, these red ones over here that took over twenty six hours to get here on the truck. Kind of a long story, not a good one. I think we're four weeks or three weeks in and haven't treated any. Very impressed with the fact that all the calves we've bought, I think we're about a half a percent on calves we've had to treat. That's not a half a percent death loss, that's a half a percent on ones we've had to treat. We would have expected to treat a lot more than what we've had to treat. On our home raised calves that are on Rio, we noticed that even years ago starting, we weren't treating as many, which is why we kind of jumped in with the turbo boost on the boughten calves. So we really feel like the the health has been much better for us and helped them through that stressful time frame. It's pretty simple. We have our sons help us work cattle, and our twelve year old and nine year old can administer this. It's just two quick pumps in the back of the mouth. It's pretty quick, pretty simple, so it really hasn't slowed us down at the shoot side. One thing my husband's noticed feeding the cattle is it seems to kinda stimulate the appetite or or kinda get them going. He thinks they come to the bunk sooner, which again, to get a weaned calf or a stressed calf up to the bunk eating, that's gonna save you big time. To treat these calves anywhere from, you know, a flyweight to a six or seven hundred pounder, it's gonna be about ten bucks a head, which isn't cheap. But again, for what one of these is worth right now, I will put ten dollars a head into them all day long if I can get them to the bunk quicker and keep them healthy. This has really helped right along with the vaccines, some of the other stuff we've done to help lower stress. It's just another tool in the toolbox. With twenty five hundred dollar to three thousand dollar head calves, I'll take another half a second at the shoot to maybe get a little bit more insurance on the back end. So obviously, you know, this is our living. We need to invest in that and plan accordingly. Try a pin, you know, be be the judge for yourself.
One of the things that we struggle with here, and every farmer is different, so we fight clostridial bloat like crazy. If you know anything about enterotoxemia, a lot of times that's that calf you saw the night before and the next morning he's dead. You didn't have a chance. When we added the real paste, it almost became a non factor. Because we've lost calves to that, we're pretty paranoid about that, and we changed our vaccination program a little bit with the help of our vet. If the calf looks a little full, he's probably gonna get a shot, but you never find that calf laying there kicking in his gut, acting really weird because it just doesn't seem to get that far before you catch it. When the paste first came out and we were already using the Riom mineral, believed in it, why wouldn't you do the Riom paste? So we did that and then Riomax was going to phase it out and quit making it for a while. I said that's great, just send me everything you got extra then. So they did, that took me about a year and a half, almost two years. We didn't quite get to the second year, then they decided to start making it again, which came timed out perfect, by the way. We use it at birth, get that calf started right. To me that's one of those no brainer moments. And if you understand fetal programming and you already got your calves set up to do well, why wouldn't you give them that boost right at birth yet with that paste? And anything that gets treated for any kind of sickness, just come back and hit them with it again. And my philosophy was always, the good bugs outnumber the bad bugs, it's still a win, you know. I've probably always been one to to do things on a proactive deal in my cow herd. Not so much because the dollars and cents all the time is because as purebred producer, you're trying to advance genetics. And if I lose that heifer calf, I lost a set of genetics that I probably can't replicate. But yes, at the prices today, dollars and cents are huge.
